Terms and Conditions

The Terms and Conditions below govern the agreement between you, the client, and us, Abby & Scout Tours. By booking a tour with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully and make sure you understand them before confirming the booking with us. Abby & Scout Tours shall not be responsible for any issue arise, due to failing to have read or understand and be agreed with the below terms and conditions by the customers, after the token advance is received, during the tour and after the tour. It's a sole responsibility and liability of the customers to read, understand and be agreed with below terms and conditions before confirming the booking.Wherever mentioned BOOKING, it refers to a day or multi-day tour, tour package including the hotels and transport, transfers from one city to the next, the game drives booking, flight, and train booking, hotels/ resorts/ desert tented-accommodation booking alone. Wherever mentioned some cases, it refers to a booking falling under festival, Independence & Republic day weeks, wedding season, conference meeting, any booking from Dec 20- Jan 5 and any situation where either Abby & Scout Tours or any of related service provider i.e. Hotels/resorts/tented-accommodation, the game drives booking, requires either high percentage of token advance or full payment at the time of booking.

Reservation

1. Upon receiving your inquiry, one of our experienced travel consultants will start to assist you in building a suitable travel plan according to your special requirements and interests.

2. Upon the receipt of confirmation for the booking, you'll have to pay a certain token advance. The token advance is usually 30%-60% of the total touring price, while the percentage is subject to group size and itinerary, inclusions, selection of hotels & their booking conditions and travel dates; in some cases you might be asked to pay a higher percentage of the token advance.

3. In some cases, we reserve the right to demand full payment in advance at the time of booking to secure your booking.

4. Once your booking is confirmed, we will send you a confirmation letter with the proposed flights, hotels, and tours in details. Should any conditions change after the confirmation, We reserve the right to make changes and provide you with the similar alternative options.

5. The final cut-off date for the balance amount varies from one tour to another depending on travel dates, group size, hotels being used and their payment policy and any other services. Your travel consultant will advise you the final cut-off date for the balance amount and you're responsible to pay by the specified cut-off date. Abby & Scout Tours shall not be responsible for the cancelation of any services related to your tour, cancelation of the rooms by the hotels resulting from the customers failed to pay the balance amount by the specific cut-off date.

Mandatory Documents Towards Confirmation Of Your Booking

Being a service unit alike the hotels, we must also collect valid travel documents from either one of the travelers or from all travelers as a security and safety measurement.

In order enable us to confirm your booking on a definite basis, the following documents are mandatory- ( of at least one of the travelers except the game drives booking where we require documents of all travelers. Scroll down to read our separate terms and conditions for the game drives booking)

All foreign nations are required to provide scans/screenshot of one of their photo ID proof i.e. Passport, Driving License or any other valid photo ID issued by the Government along with their visa copy. A passport with less than 6 months validity will not be accepted.

All Indian nationals are required to provide scans/screenshot of one of their photo ID proof i.e. Passport, Driving License, Aadhar and Voter ID. A passport with less than 6 months validity and PAN card will not be accepted.

Abby & Scout Tours accepts no responsibility for any failure in this respect. otherwise we are not liable for any delays, cancelation of your booking.

We understand the privacy of your documents and therefore, instead of emailing us, you can upload these documents via a secured upload link available on our website. Please be advised that photo ID proof's copy is mendatory regardless of the mode of the payment.

Payment Guidance

You can pay us online with a credit/debit card via a secured payment link. Alternatively, you can also pay us via wire transfer and bank to bank transfer ( e-transfer), any fee charged by your bank is to be paid by you.

Please be advised that a credit/debit card payment is attached with scans/screenshot of cardholder's photo ID proof i.e. Passport, driving license. A passport with less than 6 months validity will not be accepted.

Online Inventory At Third Party Website

Online inventory at third website website including availability and prices are with respective third party website only and to be booked diretcly with them. Abby & Scout Tours shall not be responsible to offer such prices for a direct booking. Travelers are advised to read all the terms and condition available on that respetive third party website related to those tours/services before confirming booking with them.

Cost/Price Breakdown

Please be advised that any request for the detailed cost/price breakdown will not be entertained except telling you a ballpark idea on the total cost for the hotels and transportation ( including all other services). A breakdown for the booking without the hotels will not be addressed.

Game Drives in The National Park

Game drives including vehicles; the drivers and the service of a naturalist are controlled and managed by the park authority. They reserve all the rights to change the game drives hours, change the zone you're actually booked for and allot any other zone, cancel the game drive on any day/shift without any prior notice, due to bad weather/track conditions or administrative reasons. etc. Any issues/discrepancies related to the game drives must be raised directly to the park authority. Abby & Scout Tours takes no responsibility in this regards. We're only acting as taking care of required steps to reserve the game drives. It's your responsibility to read, understand and be agreed with terms and conditions applied by the park regarding safety and risk related to these game drives.

Keep your passport and travel visa handy at the time of boarding the jeep/canter as sometime you might be asked to re-verify your identity in accordance with the details provided at the time of booking the game drives. If Abby & Scout Tours is arranging the game drives, every single traveler must provide us with the following documents to enable us to book the game drives as well as to release the boarding pass from the Government Forest Department office. Abby & Scout Tours shall not be responsible for failing to release the boarding pass resulting from not having received the required documents from the travelers.

Local Indians- scans/screenshot of one of their Government-issued photo ID proof i.e. passport, Driving license, Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN card, Office ID, Student ID.

Travel Visa

All foreign nationals must obtain a visa for a visit India and it is essential the visa be procured prior to travel. UK, Australian, New Zealand, Canadian and USA passport holders can take advantage of India's online visa service (subject to eligibility). Unused tour items

No refund will be made for any unused accommodations, missed meals, transportation segments, sightseeing tours or any other service. Such unused items are neither refundable nor exchangeable (no exceptions).

Alteration of Itinerary

Before your booking is confirmed, adjustment to itinerary are happily processed free of charge, since it is our goal to offer you the best possible tour. However, after you receive the confirmation letter, any alterations will incur a fee of 25.00 USD per request, and changes to departure date or destination may incur cancellation fees. All changes are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

Abby & Scout Tours reserves the right to modify your itinerary if air schedule or surface transportation changes, and/or events beyond its control make such alterations necessary. In this event, any of the increase or reduction of the tour cost will be calculated and charged/ refunded accordingly. If it is you who request the changes, then you will be required to pay any additional cost in advance.

Medical Issues

You must advise us in writing, at or prior to booking, of any physical, emotional or mental condition which may require professional attention during the trip or the use of special equipment. You must provide your own small, collapsible wheelchair if it is a necessity through your journey, please note not all of our trips are wheelchair-accessible. Besides, we cannot guarantee any wheelchair assistance or accessibility in international destinations. Abby & Scout Tours reserves the right to decline any trip participant whose condition, in our opinion, may affect the health, safety or enjoyment of other participants.

We cannot accommodate women who are 6 month or longer pregnant. You should take into account all international travel risks and health requirements applicable to the areas you intend to visit. You are solely responsible for checking the governmental safety and security conditions, vaccination, and other health requirements in countries you are going to visit or transit.

Insurance

It is required that you should purchase proper travel insurances before leaving your home country to cover a wide range of unexpected loss and damages.

Exemption of Liability

The responsibility of Abby & Scout Tours and its affiliated companies is strictly limited. Abby & Scout Tours shall not be responsible for any wrongful or negligent acts, omissions, or failure to act of any suppliers such as those of surface, air, and water transportation, sightseeing excursions, cruise/hotel accommodations, or of any third party not directly owned or operated by Abby & Scout Tours. By utilizing the travel services of the suppliers, you agree that you will look to such suppliers for any accident, injury, property damage, or personal loss to you or to those travelling with you, and that neither Abby & Scout Tours nor any representative of Abby & Scout Tours shall be liable.

Without limitation, Abby & Scout Tours is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to person or property, death, delay, or inconvenience in connection with the provision of, or failure to provide, any goods or services occasioned by or resulting from--but not limited to--acts of God or force majeure, acts of war or civil unrest, insurrection or revolt, strikes or other labor activities, criminal or terrorist activities of any kind, overbooking or downgrading of accommodations, mechanical or other failure of airplanes of other means of transportation or for the failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive or depart on time, sanitation problems, lack of medical care, or for any other cause beyond the direct control of Abby & Scout Tours. Nor is Abby & Scout Tours responsible for the stolen and lost of your valuable items due to your negligence.

Abby & Scout Tours is not responsible for your failure to comply with customs regulations.

Abby & Scout Tours holds no responsibility for any criminal act or any act of the clients considered criminal by the laws of the country visited, but is obliged to provide both relevant law offices and the clients with utmost assistance in investigation when needed. Abby & Scout Tours reserves the right to substitute hotels of similar quality at any time or to make changes in itinerary of similar quality, flights, or cruise ships, or to cancel the tour prior to departure. If Abby & Scout Tours cancels a tour before it starts, Abby & Scout Tours is liable for a full refund of the money received. If you purchase an airline ticket separately, ensure that your agent explains the conditions under which the ticket is issued as Abby & Scout Tours is not responsible for such airline ticket cancellation fees. Abby & Scout Tours reserves the right to correct promotional or pricing errors at any time, or to increase the program price in the event of cost increases due to changes in airfares, cruise fares, currency fluctuations, taxes, or fuel surcharges.

Please understand that not all museums and attractions are open every day all the year round. Abby & Scout Tours reserves the right to vary the sequence of sightseeing and/or to re-route the order of cities if that enables you to visit all listed excursions. In either case, the itinerary content will be maintained to the extent possible and there are no refunds for any unused or unavailable excursions.

Many of Abby & Scout Tours packages include activities require care and attention. Such activities include boarding and going ashore from boats, trekking, climbing hills, entering and exiting tombs and caves etc. You will receive help and advice from our representatives but all activities are undertaken at your own risk. Abby & Scout Tours, its employees and agents cannot be responsible for any action or event that occurs after its employees and agents have executed their duty and taken the necessary care.

Force Majeure

Compensation payments do not apply where performance of our contract with you is prevented by risk or threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, technical problems to transport, closure or congestion of airport or ports, cancellation or change of scheduled airlines and similar events beyond our control.

Complaints and Claims

Whenever you feel unsatisfied with any service Abby & Scout Tours has provided, please inform your local tour guide or your travel consultant immediately to avoid similar problems either before or during your trip.

If you want to complain or claim for compensation, you must inform us by email or by phone within 15 days upon your tour is finished. Please attach relevant receipts and evidence to substantiate the letter of claim.

PS: Abby & Scout Tours reserves the right of final explanation to above terms. We do also reserve the final right to overturn/refuse/not provide any further explanation in regards to any of the above-mentioned terms and conditions.
