You will get picked up from your hotel and drive straight to Amber Palace. One of the top tourist attractions of Jaipur, the huge Amer Palace Fort sits atop a small hill, and is located at a distance about 11 km from the main city. The magnificent Amer Fort is an extensive palace complex that has been built with pale yellow and pink sandstone, and with white marble. The fort is divided into four main sections that are graced with their own courtyards and is a perfect example of Rajasthani architecture.
Many are unaware that just next to the massive castle lies a yellow-colored stepwell of Panna Meena which is one of the largest stepwell of the region, built in the 16th century. A few minutes drive away is Water Palace ( Jal Mahal) which sits in the middle of the lake. However, the entry is restricted here but it makes a perfect photography spot.
Back in the city, you’ll see Hawa Mahal, Also known as the Palace of Winds. The honeycomb shaped and beautifully carved windows allow breeze to blow through the palace and makes it a perfect summer palace. The construction of Hawa Mahal allowed the royal ladies to enjoy every day street scenes and royal processions on the street without being seen. The clothes of Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh I are also on display. The Maharani's Palace, surprisingly, has an interesting display of anicent weapons.
Our next stop is Jantar Mantar- enumerated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCOone, is one of the largest observatories in the world, comprising of remarkable stone assemblies that help to interpret the position of celestial bodies and calculate local time. Later, your tour guide will walk you through Jaipur's local markets, old Jaipur city and even jump on a tuk-tuk ride.
